We have a rare and very exciting opportunity for someone to head up the established Commercial Division of a leading independent insurance broker in Sheffield.
You will be managing and leading the whole commercial division, reporting directly to the Group MD, whilst being responsible for a team of 14 employees (across 2 sites) which is made up by an Operations Manager, Account Executives, Development Executives and Account Handlers. This department has seen exceptional growth over the past few years, which has seen them go from £13m to £19m in GWP and secure some reputable clients.
In this diverse role the responsibilities include the servicing of an existing portfolio of clients generating over £300k, the maintenance and development of relationships with the established insurer panel and the delivery of any technical training and support that is required in the team.
The role will suit someone that aspires but has perhaps been held back by their current employer. There is plenty of financial support from the group business to continue the exciting growth and add additional employees to the team, ideally with a view of building a structure and delegating responsibilities. Leadership experience, or a natural quality for this is essential as the role comes with a lot of autonomy and the need to manage strategy and growth.
On offer is a basic salary up to £80,000, a bonus of c£15,000, a car allowance of £4,200, 25 days holiday (negotiable), enhanced pension scheme, support with professional accreditations, long term incentive plans and a selection of flexible benefits through the group business. There are excellent prospect available, which includes the potential to become a Director in the group business, with the goals around this to be put in place upon commencement of the role.
