We are currently assisting a leading chartered independent insurance broker, who have been a leading name across South Yorkshire for over 40 years. They are looking for an experienced Account Handler due to on-going growth and the success of an Account Executive that joined them last year.
A traditional broker, who are extremely client focused and pride themselves on their service levels - They are seeking someone with a similar mindset that can support Senior Account Executives and Directors with the servicing and retention of some long standing clients.
Role:
- Ensure the smooth running of your allocated client account on a day-to-day basis
- Develop and maintain and a positive professional relationship with clients and insurers
- Be the first point of contact for day-to-day enquiries from clients, providers, and other internal and external sources
- You will handle a varied workload, with premiums ranging anywhere from £10,000 up to £200,000
- Broking of new business & renewals, preparation of presentations and assisting with any technical queries
- Logging and managing non-motor claims
- You will be using the Acturis system on a daily basis for all general tasks
Experience:
- You will have at least 5 years’ experience in commercial insurance
- You will possess all around commercial knowledge, such as Property Owners, PI, Cyber & D&O and have handled premiums above £10,000 on a regular basis
- A good understanding of insurer markets, with established Underwriter relationships desirable
- You will be astute, confident and able to think outside the box
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Ideally be Cert CII qualified as a minimum
In return there is a salary up to £36,000 (negotiable) per annum depending on experience and a benefits package which includes 26 days holiday, life assurance, 5% pension contribution, support for professional qualifications and free on-site parking.
