A fantastic opportunity to be join one of the longest standing independent brokers in Yorkshire, who have been providing support to businesses across the region for over 100 years. Due to new business growth they are looking to add an experienced broker to their Corporate team.
A traditional broker, who are extremely client focused and pride themselves on their service levels - They are seeking someone with a similar mindset that can support Account Executives and Directors with new business and renewals.
Role:
- Ensure the smooth running of your allocated client account on a day-to-day basis.
- Develop and maintain and a positive professional relationship with clients and insurers.
- Be the first point of contact for day-to-day enquiries from clients, providers, and other internal and external sources
- You will handle a varied workload, with premiums ranging anywhere from £30,000 up to £350,000
- Broking of new business & renewals, preparation of presentations, generating reports and assisting with any technical queries
- You will be using the Acturis system on a daily basis for all general tasks
Experience:
- You will have at least 5 years’ experience in commercial insurance
- You will possess all around commercial knowledge, such as Property Owners, PI, Cyber & D&O and have handled premiums above £10,000 on a regular basis
- A good understanding of insurer markets, with established Underwriter relationships desirable
- You will be astute, confident and able to think outside the box
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Ideally be Cert CII qualified as a minimum
In return there is a salary up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience, and a benefits package which includes 27 days holiday, an annual bonus at 5% of salary, hybrid working with 2 days from home, life assurance, 8% pension contribution, support for professional qualifications and free on-site parking at their easily accessed office just a short journey from the M62 in Bradford.
