Commercial Broking Manager / Senior Handler – South Yorkshire

The Role
As Commercial Insurance Team Leader, you’ll oversee a team of Handlers managing diverse commercial insurance programmes. You’ll provide both strategic and hands-on support, with key responsibilities including:
- Servicing the 15 largest clients with a combined GWP of c£1.5m
- Supporting Directors on business strategy and growth initiatives
- Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of experienced staff and apprentices
- Driving technical development and enhancing the client journey
- Managing workloads, service standards, and team performance
- Embedding company values and fostering a positive, collaborative culture
- Ensuring compliance, accuracy, and professionalism at all times
- Develop relationships with insurers and play a key role in enhancing the market offerings
About You
You’ll bring:
- Strong experience in commercial insurance
- Previous leadership or team management exposure (advantageous)
- Knowledge of FCA/regulatory frameworks
- Cert CII qualification (or working towards)
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach
- Acturis experience (desirable)
