An exciting opportunity has arisen with an established independent broker in Wakefield who are looking to add a Commercial Account Handler to the team due to growth.
You will work alongside a Director who holds a broad selection of clients, ranging from SME's to large limited companies across the Yorkshire region.
Key Duties:
- Marketing commercial risks to insurers for new business and renewals
- Preparing market documentation for insurers
- Preparing policies where appropriate and send to Account Executives for their input
- Reviewing submissions from producers, ensuring all information is accurate before going out to the market
- Ensuring that all market documentation is closed in a timely and appropriate manner
- Utilising extensive experience gained as a Broker to hold competent and technical conversations with insurers
Skills Required:
- Good technical knowledge within commercial insurance, spending time as an Account Handler within a broker is essential
- Established relationships with insurers is beneficial
- Ability to communicate effectively, with a proven track record in negotiating suitable deals with commercial insurance clients
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage several on-going cases at any one time
- Knowledge of Acturis would be ideal, however full training will be provided
