We have a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to be part of an established independent broker that is led by one of the most forward thinking and accommodating Directors I've met. The role will be home based, with all the tools provided to do the role, including laptop, phone and internet paid for. They are also passionate about work/life balance and offer a 4 day working week, fitting full time hours in and giving more time for personal time and family.
A broker, who are extremely client focused and pride themselves on their service levels - They are seeking someone with a similar mindset that can support one of the Directors with the servicing and retention of their long standing portfolio.
Role:
- Ensure the smooth running of your allocated client account on a day-to-day basis.
- Develop and maintain and a positive professional relationship with clients and insurers.
- Be the first point of contact for day-to-day enquiries from clients, providers, and other internal and external sources
- You will handle a varied workload, with premiums ranging anywhere from £500 up to £150,000
- Broking of new business & renewals, preparation of presentations and assisting with any technical queries
- You will be using the Acturis system on a daily basis for all general tasks
Experience:
- You will have at least 3 years’ experience in commercial insurance
- You will possess all around commercial knowledge, such as Property Owners, Liabilities and Motor Fleet
- A good understanding of insurer markets, with established Underwriter relationships
- You will be astute, confident and able to think outside the box
- Ability to work comfortably at home and manage your daily/weekly workload
- Experience with Acturis is preferred
- Whilst the role is home based, you will need to live in the Yorkshire region for meetings and team catch ups
